About the Author
Edmund White is the author of the novels Fanny: A Fiction, A Boy's Own Story, The Farewell Symphony, and The Married Man; a biography of Jean Genet; a study of Marcel Proust; and, most recently, a memoir, My Lives. Having lived in Paris for many years, he has now settled in New York, and he teaches at Princeton University.

A tense, well-written drama about a fictitious meeting of famed writer Gore Vidal and Terry McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber. Although this 2006 work is seldom performed, last week I was able to play the part of James (Gore Vidal)in a staged reading at Miami University-Hamilton Studio Theatre 307. The themes emerging from the script are still valid today. Our audience even requested a talkback after the performance, something that was not planned. If you're looking for a script that is edgy and relevant, you should check this out.
