Hands down, the best criminology textbook (and I've read and used in my classes at least a dozen of them): easy to read and understand, engaging, and concise! An amazing amount of material is covered in a fairly short book. The previous edition is very good, too, but this new edition has the best chapters on biological and psychological theories of all the criminology textbooks I know. Very impressive!
